There are increasing signs that the release of GTA 6 is getting closer. This is underlined, among other things, by a temporary job advertisement and the request to Rockstar Games employees to return to a 5-day working week in the office for the final phase of development.
In addition, the long-awaited open-world game was recently listed on the official Rockstar Games website.
On the website www.rockstargames.com/games, GTA 6 has been added to Rockstar’s other titles, with a particularly prominent position. A large banner at the top of the page makes it clear that GTA 6 is planned for the year 2025.
Further down the page, visitors are presented with an introductory window with the message “Welcome to Leonida”. It describes that Grand Theft Auto VI takes players to the state of Leonida, to the neon-lit streets of Vice City and beyond, and is the biggest and most impressive addition to the GTA series to date. The game is scheduled for release in 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
A click on the banner leads to a new window in which the first trailer for GTA 6 is shown, which can be started with a further click.
This update on the website immediately attracted the attention of fans on social media and triggered a wave of new speculation. Some suspect that Rockstar Games is either planning to release a second trailer or has another major announcement in store. It could also be that the pre-order phase for GTA 6 is about to begin, although there is currently no concrete evidence of this.
Despite speculation about upcoming announcements or the pre-order phase, it is a positive sign that GTA 6 is increasingly being incorporated into Rockstar Games’ portfolio, indicating an intensification of marketing for the game.
